Netherite
Netherite is a rare material from the Nether, used primarily to upgrade diamond gear. Netherite items are more powerful and durable than diamond, can float in lava, and cannot burn. All of the blocks are also unbreakable with explosion values of even 7/8, the highest in the game, however, like any other item, they are vulnerable to cacti, which will destroy them immediately. Like obsidian, it can still be broken by blue wither skulls. It will always drop the item.

The netherite armor material and tier consists of the netherite helmet, netherite chestplate, netherite leggings, and netherite boots. The tier consists of the netherite sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel, and hoe. Additional damage is done as well as mining speed increased by these latter, as like diamond and each previous itteration.

In order to get your cubey mitts on the strongest material in the game, you’ll need to take a trip to the Nether in search of rare ancient debris, which you’ll craft into netherite ingots before creating the best weapons and armour in Minecraft. How to find Netherite in Minecraft
Unlike diamond, you can’t find Minecraft netherite in ore form in the ground. Instead, you’re looking for a block in the Nether called ancient debris – and it’s astronomically rare. You’ll need at least a diamond pickaxe to harvest it, so come prepared.

Ancient debris spawns in veins, and always spawns completely covered by blocks (or lava) on each side, so you won’t be able to spot them from the surface. Instead, you’ll need to dig down – ancient debris can be found from y=22 to y=8, though it’s most common at y=15.
How to craft netherite in minecraft
Once you’ve found some ancient debris, it’s time for the next step – crafting netherite scrap. After smelting an ancient debris block in a furnace or blast furnace, you’ll have one netherite scrap. You need four netherite scraps and four gold ingots, arranged in any shape, to make a single netherite ingot.
How to craft Netherite Armour and Netherite Weapons
The good news is, after scouring the Nether for enough ancient debris to make a netherite ingot, you only need a single netherite ingot for each piece of netherite equipment. Instead of crafting your new tools out of pure netherite, you’ll instead upgrade existing diamond armour and weapons by combining them with your netherite ingot using a smithing table.

Smithing tables can be found in the blacksmith’s building in a village, or you can craft one yourself with wood planks and iron ingots. Enchantments placed on your diamond equipment will be transferred, but the durability won’t be reset, so you’ll need to use an anvil if your diamond equipment needs restoring.

So what can you do with your shiny new netherite in Minecraft? All netherite items float, handy for traversing Minecraft’s lava filled underworld, and it means any items you create won’t sink – so you can just watch them float away instead.

5 best ways to find Netherite in Minecraft
Netherite is one of the most valuable resources in Minecraft. Netherite ingots are used to upgrade diamond gear, making it both more durable and more powerful.
Another bonus that sets Netherite gear apart is that it is fire and lava resistant, unlike all other gear. However, players still have to be wary of cactus blocks as these can destroy Netherite items.
Netherite ingots are made by combining four gold ingots with four Netherite scraps. The difficulty comes in obtaining the Netherite scraps, which can only be obtained either by smelting ancient debris or as loot found in chests that spawn in Bastion Remnants.
Ancient debris can be mined with either a diamond pickaxe or a Netherite pickaxe and is only found in the Nether. It can be found in veins of 1-4, but most commonly, players will find it as a single block.

Top 5 ways to obtain Netherite in Minecraft
Strip mining is the most basic way of obtaining Netherite, and the best level to find it is at the coordinate Y = 12. Players should leave two blocks in between lanes and then just mine in a straight line, creating a strip.
Players must remain vigilant about the lava pockets they might run into while mining. While strip mining may feel like a somewhat boring process, it is very easy to do, highly effective, and only requires diamond pickaxes.
Should a player have access to TNT, it can be a very effective mining tool for finding ancient debris. This is due to the low blast resistance of Netherrack and the very high blast resistance of ancient debris.
Ultimately, this means lots of Netherrack is cleared in a TNT explosion, leaving behind any precious ancient debris hidden inside.
To begin TNT mining, players must again go to Y = 12, light a piece of TNT, then step back a bit and watch it clear the area for them, leaving any hidden ancient debris exposed.
The difficulty in this method resides in the scarcity of TNT, as players will either need a large supply of gunpowder or must have obtained enough TNT from pillaging desert temples.
Beds can be just as good as TNT when used in the Nether. This is because when a player tries to sleep on a bed in the Nether, the bed will explode with slightly less vigor than TNT.
The method of bed mining is the same as TNT mining, which is detailed in #4. Although the explosion is slightly smaller, beds are a far more sustainable resource, as they are crafted from very cheap wool and wood planks.
For players looking to challenge themselves with a raid on a Bastion Remnant, there’s a chance they’ll find Netherite scraps inside of chests that spawn. Occasionally, if players get especially lucky, a whole Netherite ingot can even be found.
Players must be ready to take on the Piglin hordes, which can be difficult to fight. But just like real life, there’s no true reward without any risk.
For those players with resources to burn, they can always place end crystals down and shoot them with a bow to clear a large area soon. This is another way of creating an explosion to expose hidden ancient debris.
This, however, is a very expensive method of mining ancient debris as end crystals need ender eyes and ghast tears to craft. However, if players have an abundance of these items, they might as well use them.
